Adventures In Nursing...

It's been such a joy to nurse my third child. The first two just never got it but Jacob just seems to have no problem. I just love feeding him and looking at his precious face! It's amazing that God created such a special bond between a Mommy and her baby!

Here's where it gets interesting though... Josh and Seth! It's been funny to see their reactions to the whole nursing thing. I don't try to hide any of it from them because I don't want them to feel like it's a secret or naughty thing. It's just a wonderful and natural part of life and one day they'll understand that.

Here's a conversation I had with Josh (almost 6) recently...

Josh ~ Wait a minute!
Me ~ What?
Josh ~ You mean to tell me that both of those things work?!
Me ~ Yeah.
Josh ~ Ugh, I thought only one of them worked!

He just cracks me up some days!!

Hey, I forgot to tell you earlier, you should put the Lilypie Breastfeeding for Jacob, my friend Angie does and it is so cute to see how long you have been successfully breastfeeding. It is such a precious gift to give your child, and like you said, an awesome bond is created. Your a joy!!!

There are some things boys will never fully understand. (Like nursing.) Thank goodness!

I remember those special, peaceful times wistfully ... my last baby is 5 now.

Oh the joys of nursing - I loved it too. It's something mommmy's never forget.

At least the boys haven't asked to nurse yet! Sissy did while nursing Sugar and I said okay... and as soon as she got about 1 inch away she said "nevermind". LOL!
