Our trip

We're back! It was a crazy whirlwind trip and we made it. We got to Palm Springs around 1:00 on Saturday and Jeff got me settled in the room. He then took off to set-up with the rest of the guys and they had a trade show and then a meeting. I didn't see him again until almost 7:00. In that time I visited the outlet malls, got some lunch and watched a movie in the room.

From about 7:00 until 11:00 we were downstairs in the dinner/celebration event. It was nice and they recognized Jeff for all he had done with and for the company. I was glad they took the time to make him feel appreciated after all he has done around there. He's been with them for almost 10 years now!

It did pay to gamble a little because Jeff won just over $100 the first night and about $20 the next day. He tried a couple different slot machines and his theory really does work... As soon as you hit something and make a profit or as soon as you loose the most you're willing to loose, stop right then. Otherwise you will sit there and waste away all your money. You have to know going into it that it is what it's called, a gamble. You have to be willing to loose and not feel guilty about it. That's why we always set an amount and stick with it. So anyway, it was nice to win some money to help pay for the gas and a couple meals!

We got back home around 2:00 on Sunday. It was nice to just get-away and be with Jeff. A casino is not where I would have picked but hey, it was free and the hotel was really nice! So a girl can't complain, right?

Awesome. Glad you had a good time away and you were able to get some time with Jeff. Even though business trips are not the greatest for quality time, you are able to go to places you would not normally go. Can be fun! Totally agree on Jeff's gamble theory.
Still here and waiting. Will call you when our little man decides to show up. He is stubborn!!! ;)

Hi Stacey,

Thanks for your comment on my blog and for the lunch ideas!

It sounds like your trip was great. Last summer I went on a trip like that with my husband. He had a conference during the day. I actually really enjoyed it because I felt like I got the best of both worlds. Time by myself shopping, lying by the pool, AND time alone with my husband. It was heaven!

How fun! Sounds like you had a great trip with Jeff (& Jacob). How nice that you got to share his recognition with him too. I've never been to Palm Springs ... how far of a drive was it for you?

Welcome back! Sounds like a nice get-away. I have stuff from Tina for you and your in-laws, not to mention your Pampered Chef stuff....so let's figure out a way to connect soon. We will be gone this weekend, so it will have to be before Fri or after Sun!

I am so glad that you were able to get some time to yourself. It was probably nice to spend some quiet time with you and Jacob as well, with no interruptions with other boys! I know it seems less and less and you grow as parents, well for most of us, so we always appreciate a little time to ourselves. You are such a great mom, and times like these makes us even better!
