That's right, we still don't know what to name this new little baby boy!
I remember when I was pregnant with our first son, Joshua. We just knew that was his name and we called him that for months before he was born. It was so exciting!
When I was pregnant with Seth we just couldn't decide. His name was going to be Benjamin or Bradley. Then after he was born I couldn't make up my mind. I remember someone from the hospital calling our room and saying "You do realize if you want to take this baby home today we have to know his name." I just laughed at them. Somehow the name Seth came up and it stuck.
This time I just can't figure it out. We've started a pattern that now we can't break though. All of our names either start with 'J' or 'S'. If that's not bad enough we all have a middle name that starts with 'A'. It wasn't until the other day it hit me that all of our middle names end with 'N'. What were we thinking??
So here are the names we're considering and I'd like to take a vote.
First Name...
~ Jacob
~ Joseph (Joey)
~ Jordan
~ Jesse
Middle Name...
~ Aiden
~ Arthur (after my Dad)
~ Andrew
~ Austin
So leave your vote in the comment section. If you have any other ideas feel free to leave them as well. I can't wait to see what everyone thinks!!

i love Jordan Arthur...
Oh, I LOVE Jesse. That is so cool. Not something you hear a ton. I like it with Andrew but then I also think it would be cool to have him named after Big PaPa!
de-lurking to add that i like Jordan Andrew or Jacob Aiden. good luck with the decision! :)
Out of the boys names listed, I agree with Julie, Jesse, is the cutest. I think I like Jesse Andrew, it sounds like a presidents' name. Sometimes you know what the baby's name will be after you see him. We didn't call Lily anything but Shem! So you don't miss out when you don't have a name to call them. Love ya
You could combine the J with an A name and come up with a cool name... like Jaiden or Jadon (this last one is in Bible - Nehemiah to be exact.) I'm just saying...
I like Joseph Arthur. You dad gets a nod for the namesake from me as well!
Hi Stacey. I have never left a comment on your blog so this is kind of fun. I like the idea Shalee had w/ the name Jaiden and I'd add that with Arthur....so you'd have Jaiden Arthur. Good luck!!!!
Wow, getting a good response here! Unfortunately I can't use the name Jaiden because we already have one in the family. It would just be too confusing!
I'm so glad all of you have commented though. I'll have to keep you updated on how it turns out :-)
Tracy, so glad you commented! Can't wait for you to start your blog!!
OK...so working backward...I like the idea of using your dad's name as a middle name...so with Arthur I think Jordan Arthur sounds the best. BUT when I hear Jordan lately, I usually think of Jordin Sparks on American Idol (and she's a girl). BUT...as good as she is, she won't be around forever, and I do like the sound of Jordan Arthur.
Jacob is a cute name, but it's been the most common name for the past few years in a row I think (although I think Abigail is in the top 3-5 and I still chose it because I like it)
So does that help or hurt? :) Ultimately it comes down to what you and Jeff like the very best! (by the way, my sisters and I all have the same first and middle initials) :)
ok - i love Jesse. I also like Joeseph. Jacob and Jordon are great names too but are also very popular (if that doesn't bother you).
I love Aiden - it's so unique. I like Austin too. Wow, I like all of them on your list but I'll stick with my vote! ;)
I like Jacob Austin Thomas.
I like all the names you have picked out.
you will come up with a good name I am sure. :)hang in there!!
OK, now you got me started... be thankful thave you have a good strong last name for your boys!
So, I'm big into knowing the meanings of the names, so here's what I found on www.babynames.com:
Jesse = gift
Jordan = to flow down
Joseph = God will increase
Jacob = supplanter (def.: one who wrongfully or illegally seizes and holds the place of another; usurper)
Austin = great
Andrew = manly
Arthur (family name) = bear
Aiden = little fire
New Suggestions:
James /Jameson = supplanter (def.: one who wrongfully or illegally seizes and holds the place of another; usurper)
Jason/Jace = healer
Jonathan = gift of God - (“God is gracious” + “He gave”)
Scott = of Scottish origin
Shane = God is gracious
Sawyer = woodcutter
Adam = of the earth
Aaron = exalted, strong
Of the ones you were already considering, I like Jesse too. My boyfriend in kindergarten was named Jesse. ;) I've always loved the name Andrew too.
Shane might be a good option too. I like that one a lot.
