The Big Test

Today was my son's first school test ever! Now remember, he's in Kindergarten. They have been learning their "spelling words" all week long. Today I was helping in the classroom and enjoyed watching them take their test.

One little girl raised her hand before it started and said "Nobody panic now. If one of us panics, we will all panic."

Here are the three words that were on the test... Cat, Sat, and Mat. Plus, the bonus word... Hat.

I'm pleased to say Josh got 100%! In fact, all but two of the kids got 100%!

I love watching him learn to spell and read... it's so exciting!!

WOW! I think kids must get smarter sooner now than when we were kids! :)

Oh, that little girl should be a flight attendant or a hostage negotiator...

Wait till he has words like plague. I'll tutor him, if you'd like. (private joke)

There is nothing quite like watching their little eyes light up when they really "get" those new concepts. Thanks for sharing...

LOL! I love the panic comment. I homeschool my kids and I can related to your being in the classroom and enjoying the process of watching Josh learn to spell and read.

We take reading for granted once we master it. But in reality, it's a lengthy process of "exploding the code", one that truly is incredible to watch.

Like you will soon be, I am a new mother (well, almost,...sort of). We drove 6 hours to OH to pick up a newborn on Dec 18th. He is the biological brother of our adopted girls and we will likely be adopting him as well, adorabble smiling stinker that he is.

I enjoyed visiting your blog.
Blessings,
~Toni~
